Small Business Administration
Microloan Program
LARDC was first awarded and established the Small Business Administration Microloan Program in 1993. The purpose of the fund is to assist start-up and newly established businesses obtain short-term, fixed rate financing. This program is the only LARDC financing tool that operates beyond the borders of the Lake Agassiz Region. Businesses located in Barnes, Burleigh, Cass, Kidder, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Stutsman, Steele, and Traill Counties of North Dakota are eligible for the program. The cities of Fargo, Jamestown, Valley City and Bismarck are within the eligible areas. Loan proceeds can be used for working capital, inventory and supplies, business furniture and fixtures, business machinery and equipment, with loan amounts up to $35,000.
