Community Development Block Grants
LARC manages the regional segment of the North Dakota Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) that addresses community public facility and housing needs. LARC prepares an annual CDBG Program Distribution Statement that contains the LARC Board of Directors priorities and scoring procedures for applications to the fund. The LARC board recommends funding of projects to the North Dakota Division of Community Services. Once project funding has been approved, LARC, through contracts with local grantees, administers project funds on their behalf.
LARC also assists with the preparation of applications for local development projects from other sources, in response to requests from local governments and groups throughout the region.
