LARC has over 35 years experience in assisting local governments, including townships, cities and counties, with comprehensive and economic development planning. Planning activities include:
- Facilitation of community meetings
- Design of community surveys
- Plan coordination
- Assistance in development of goals, objectives and strategies.
Planning assistance is provided on a fee for service basis.
LARC, a US Department of Commerce designated Economic Development District (EDD), is responsible for preparing the regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The CEDS is required to be updated every five years and forms the basis for potential investment in the region by the US Economic Development Administration.
